- Good design can save the world.
Well, I believe it can. People can learn something new every day, but I believe it's in the hands of designers to communicate ideas. It's pivotal to our society, and it's even better when it's done in bold and novel ways -- large or small, paper or screen. My goal for my work is to create collateral that tells stories, engages the community and sparks conversations and change. I'm passionate about other cultures, animals and the environment, among many other things.
I live for typography, photography, cartography and iconography. I also adore incorporating pretty patterns, witty writing and handmade heirlooms into my work. Though I'm primarily a print girl, I'm learning to like interactive and web design, too. I'm a sucker for new technology.I'm a font snob, an organized keyboard shortcut fanatic and a layer namer, and I'm always looking for new ways to be efficient with my workflow. When bringing a project to fruition, I can work both independently and as a team player. I think design should always incorporate collaboration with others, from brainstorming to final proof.
I am looking for a full-time adventure anywhere in the world (but mostly the Pacific Northwest) -- as long as I can bring my tiny feline friend Pixel and my camera.
